NEW PRICING NOTICE – PLEASE READ
Due to recent international tariffs and sharply increased import costs, we’ve had to significantly raise the price of this product. This was not a decision we made lightly—we truly wish it weren’t necessary—but the added costs were unavoidable.
In full transparency: this shipment was already en route when the tariff hike took effect. Had we known the final landed cost in advance, we very likely would have reconsidered placing the order. But by then, the container was already midway across the ocean and we were fully committed.
We’ve always operated by a simple rule: make a small, fair profit so customers want to come back. This price increase is steep—we know it, and we feel your pain. Believe us, we felt it too when we had to write a much larger check than expected once the shipment arrived at port.
To be as transparent as possible:
On the 12L Factory Bag, we’re making only about $5 in profit
On the 1 Gallon repackaged option, it’s even less
We love Etsy—it’s genuinely our favorite platform to sell on—but their 21.5% cut of each sale doesn’t help when margins are already razor-thin.
And yes... for those of you who’ve made it this far, you’re probably putting the pieces together: If you search for “Tezula” outside of Etsy, you may find this product listed at a lower price. That’s not a trick—it’s just the brutal math of trying to keep things affordable despite the fees.
We are actively evaluating whether it still makes sense to continue importing this product long-term. The increased cost has already made it impossible for us to continue using it at our own nursery, which says a lot given how much we believe in its quality.
In the meantime, we’re offering the remaining stock at the fairest possible. Ultimately, customer response to this new pricing will heavily influence whether we bring in more. We’d love to continue offering it—but only if the demand still makes sense.

Please note: Only the 12L Factory Sealed Bag comes in official Lechuza-branded packaging. All other sizes, including the 1 Gallon, are professionally repackaged in clear zipper bags directly from a sealed 12L source. There is no smaller official Lechuza packaging currently available in the U.S. If you want the original Lechuza factory packaging, you must select the 12 Liter size on this listing.

WHY IS SHIPPING SO HIGH?
This is a very heavy product, and over 85% of your total cost is due to:
Freight & shipping charges
Etsy’s marketplace fees (21.5%)
We do not profit from these costs
We strongly encourage you to search locally to see if you can find a closer source. It may help you reduce cost and environmental impact significantly. We are located in South Florida and shipping is always more expensive for us as we are not centrally located

Only the 12L size comes in original Lechuza packaging.
All other sizes are professionally repackaged from sealed 12L bags.

Pickup Hours: Monday–Thursday, 9 AM – 4:30 PM (Sharp)
We do not offer pickups outside these hours. No exceptions.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Lechuza Pon is a premium mineral substrate that delivers:
Superior drainage & root aeration
Stable pH for plant health
Built-in nutrient reservoir
Fungus gnat and mold resistance
Excellent for allergy sufferers
Lechuza PON is pre-enriched to feed plants for 6 months.
However, our testing shows the included feed is quite light—so for heavy feeders or fast growers, we strongly recommend additional fertilizing from the start. For low-demand plants, the existing nutrition will last up to 5–6 months.
Lechuza promotes that it’s impossible to overwater with PON. This is mostly true—but be aware that if you’re using sealed decorative containers with no drainage, standing water is still a risk, regardless of the substrate.
