Anthurium Prometheus (Anthurium Red Crystallinum "Tezula Dreamweaver" x Anthurium sp. Napo)

| /

THIS IS THE FINAL OFFERING OF PROMETHEUS. AFTER THIS BATCH IS SOLD THERE ARE THREE MUCH SMALLER PLANTS WHICH NEED TO GROW UP A BIT AND THATS IT. PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU OPT FOR THE TENT GROWN PLANTS (NO PICTURES) THEY ARE NOT AS DARK AS THOSE GROWN IN THE GREENHOUSES. ALL THESE PLANTS STARTED THEIR LIVES IN OUR TEST TENT, BUT IT WAS NOT UNTIL THEY WERE MOVED TO THE GREENHOUSES THAT THEIR MAGNIFICENT COLORATION CAME OUT.

The first of many collaborative crosses between Tezula Plants and Silver Krome Gardens and one which we are very excited about.

Yes, we know sp. Napo is now being called nigrolaminum but the plant we used was picked out of over 200 plants and in our opinion does not look like nigrolaminum (we think it looks even better) so we are sticking to Sp. Napo.

Pictures of the Mother and Father are the last two pictures in this listing and are for reference only.

These seedlings are being test grown in commercial greenhouses as well as an experimental tent and they keep surprising us on a daily basis. Foliage on all the plants is wonderfully dark, but many of them (especially those in the tent) produce varying degrees of a nearly metallic blue sheen which blew us away and we thought this couldn’t possibly get any better. The seedlings heard us apparently and the larger ones basically said “Hold my beer” and suddenly started to produce leaves with bright red emergent coloration that slowly faded to darker tones with that oily blue sheen. Leaves keep getting longer and longer, we don't know what to expect when they finally hit maturity which is why we are only releasing the largest greenhouse grown seedling for now. We are dying to see if the intense coloration of Tezula Dreamweaver will show up later, and what exactly is the sinus going to look like too!

Seed count on this initial cross was VERY low and as such, when plants are available, we will be taking actual pictures of the plant on offer
