Anthurium Ace Of Spades ("Dark Form" x "Narrow Form) - SELECT CLONE

When we crossed the famous "Dark Form" with the lesser known "Narrow Form" we were expecting some interesting results, but one seedling stood out almost from germination stage. It grew 10 times faster than any of the other seedlings and despite its age, the dark coloration was clearly present along when it was not present on any of the other seedlings.That seedling is the plant on offer now and it is absolutely stunning! It is so different from all the other seedlings, I am not going to lie, we have wondered if it is perhaps a selfing of Dark Form created by a stray grain of pollen, but even if that is the case, it has been a very long time since we have seen a seedling this good. The hybrid vigor on this plant is simply unbelievable compared to its siblings which are so tiny compared to this plant

Please note it has been extremely hot here with record heat for the past 3 months nearly daily. You will notice in one of the photos there is some minor yellowing to two of the leaves, this was due to heat stress so we moved the plant into our cool zone and the new leaves have come out perfectly.

This plant is in a small pot and desperately needs to be repotted into a larger pot as soon as possible
